Zero Density Releases Traxis Hub 3.1 that Automates Lens Profiling

Winner of the NAB Show 2026 Product of the Year award, Traxis Hub 3.1 introduces the Automatic Lens Profiler, enabling production teams to create broadcast zoom lens profiles themselves within minutes.

Amstelveen, The Netherlands – September 10, 2026 – Zero Density, a global leader in virtual studio productions and broadcast graphics solutions, announced the release of Traxis Hub 3.1, its camera, object and talent tracking software, now available at no cost. The new release introduces the Automatic Lens Profiler, allowing production teams to create accurate broadcast zoom lens profiles themselves within minutes instead of lengthy manual profiling processes.

Traditionally, creating lens profiles has required specialist knowledge from tracking vendor, extensive manual adjustments and significant setup time. Traxis Hub 3.1 changes that workflow by giving engineers the ability to build and manage lens profiles directly, helping make camera tracking setups much faster to prepare and easier to maintain.

Working on a standard Windows 11 computer equipped with a Blackmagic DeckLink SDI I/O card, Traxis Hub 3.1 also supports camera tracking rigs using the FreeD, Xync and OpenTrackIO, including mechanically tracked cranes, robotics and PTZ cameras, enabling tracking data from a wide range of systems to be incorporated into virtual studio and augmented reality productions.

Alongside camera tracking and lens profiling, Traxis Hub provides object and talent tracking capabilities within the same software environment, giving production teams a centralized platform for managing tracking workflows.

Traxis Hub 3.1 was recognized with a Product of the Year Award at NAB Show 2026, where Zero Density demonstrated the Automatic Lens Profiler and its self-service approach to broadcast lens profiling.

With Traxis Hub 3.1 now available at no cost, broadcasters, production studios and content creators can integrate camera tracking and automated lens profiling into their productions without an additional software cost. Optional Hardware Additions to the Traxis Tracking Ecosystem

The Traxis tracking ecosystem also introduces new hardware options. Cartridge has been upgraded for Traxis Camera Tracker and supports external lens encoders, enabling zoom and focus data to be read from geared lenses. Other additions include the Talent Tracking Beacon for tracking talents by their IDs and Automatic Profiler Tags for automatic lens profiling.
