EVO Engine Hardware Series
Ultimate performance crafted for real-time graphics productions
The EVO series is Zero Density’s engine hardware platform, purpose-built for one task: game engine-based, real-time rendering, and compositing for high-demanding real-time graphics productions such as green screen, AR/XR and video walls. Engineered for 24×7 operations, the EVO series ensures maximum performance and endurance.
Where high-end servers lack the specialised specifications of gaming hardware, gaming systems or desktop workstations don’t come equipped with redundant power supplies and thermal/cooling design for 24×7 operations under continuous heavy load. There has been no globally renowned vendor-provided hardware that is capable of delivering everything in one package. So we have defined the concept of Engine Hardware, that is not exactly a server, a workstation, or a gaming PC.
It’s an engine hardware!
We design the EVO series specifically for game engine-based production from the ground up to unleash the full potential of our real-time graphics platform, Reality 5. From custom-designed controller PCBs to power cabling and cooling, we meticulously review every component of each EVO Engine Hardware and develop better alternatives in-house when industry-standard components fall short.
Always designed for endurance, crafted for ultimate performance and purpose-built for one task: Game engine-based, real-time graphics rendering, compositing and video I/O for real-time graphics production.

Visual Impact of Hardware Performance
The introduction of real-time ray-traced rendering and global illumination technology has enabled the creation of hyper-realistic virtual environments. This advancement led us to develop hardware platform that gives you the power to render ray-traced Unreal Engine 5 scenes with Lumen and composite at the highest possible quality in real-time.
Honestly, we could not let our users settle for the available hardware performance on the market, which was sure to struggle to utilize the ray-tracing and Lumen features of Unreal Engine 5.
Best in Class Performance
High performance of the EVO series is driven by four core factors:
The GPU, the CPU, the power delivery, and the thermal management systems. The successful combination of these four elements determines the performance of the EVO series and unleashes the full potential of our Reality 5 platform.
Ultimate GPU Power
We always pick the best available Nvidia GPU for each hardware generation that money can buy for hyper-realistic virtual studio rendering. Starting with the ADA generation, the GPUs started to go over 300 Watts of power and grew too large to fit into the internal volume of COTS workstations or servers.
We fit, deliver power and cool:
Special Power Delivery Designed for Nvidia GPUs
We develop custom power cables and PCBs to deliver 50 amperes of current to our Nvidia GPU. This is the key to a reliable power delivery via the Nvidia 12VHPWR connector. There are many incidents of burned GeForce RTX 4090 and 5090 GPUs as a result of poorly installed or designed Nvidia 12VHPWR connectors.
No voltage drop, no heating.
Unparalleled CPU Power
We always pick the best performing game-optimized CPU available on the market. The gaming CPUs usually deliver the best single-threaded performance.
These CPUs can run at very high boosted clock frequencies under single-threaded loads and still require less electrical current compared to workstation/server CPUs. Therefore, these CPUs generate less thermal stress while delivering the best single-threaded performance on Unreal Engine 5 game thread.
Efficient Air-Cooled Thermal Management
Thermal management is the key to utilizing the maximum performance from the GPU and CPU. Lower CPU and GPU temperatures avoid thermal throttling, maintain high-quality rendering and increase the lifetime of components. Using an air-cooled design allows a low maintenance and high-reliability cooling system. Additionally, we avoid the risks of liquid cooling.
We streamline the internal layout with each model and design with minimal cable volume and air ducting inside the chassis. This design provides the right airflow and ensures that the CPU and GPU are efficiently cooled. The hot air exhaust of the CPU and GPU doesn’t leak back into the cool air intake.
By driving the fans of the chassis and controlling the power supply and motherboard with our own microcontroller, we can proactively manage the cooling system. Industry-standard approach is reacting after the temperature increase, while ours is proactively cooling the components before that increase.
No Thermal Throttling, No Frame Drops
The cooling of the EVO series is so effective that the GPU’s temperature does not exceed designated levels even under continuous full load in a system room. This ensures that the GPU is delivering the same real-time rendering performance in the first and the last minute of your production with no frame drops.
Tuned Windows Operating System
We configure and tune the Windows operating system in each EVO to ensure that all drivers and OS components support the performance of the EVO Engine Hardware. We run a minimal set of OS components that may consume the computer resources unnecessarily while Reality 5 is rendering/compositing frames.
Control, Monitor and Diagnose
For comprehensive oversight of the machine’s physical and operational status, Reality Hub Hardware Monitor provides real-time monitoring and logging of key metrics on any Windows PC. While driving the entire EVO chassis power/thermals with our micro controller firmware, we also provide access to additional custom sensor data such as AC input voltage, power supply load and air intake temperature/humidity and so on.
Rugged Chassis
We know your engines need to move between facilities or travel on an OB truck. That’s why we provide a rugged and reinforced rack mountable 4U chassis.. It is designed for carrying nearly 2kg heavy Nvidia GPUs safely without breaking the connectors or motherboard during transport.
Redundant Power Supplies
Every EVO generation is designed to work with hot swappable redundant power supplies, which is one of our key design criteria.
Quality Control
Our rigorous quality control process makes sure that each unit meets the benchmarks we set during the initial component selection and architectural design phase.
After manufacturing, each unit goes to final quality control, where a synthetic full CPU and GPU load is applied continuously for 8 hours +. After inspection, if the unit passes this test, it is shipped to the customer.
Each unit can be tracked with a unique QR code and serial number via our website. The warranty status, manufacturing date and unit details can also be found on the page.
